Accessible options was set up in 1993 by Alexia Pickering to provide a range of services to commercial, government, tourism, community and private bodies for more than three decades and is recognised as one of the leading “experts” on access for people with disabilities.

Current focus - Accomodation Accessibility Appraisal
Alexia is currently focusing on providing a mainstream solution for accommodation providers to enable them to display on their website, a standard set of information on the accessibility of their premises for guests with disabilities. This Appraisal is already in use by several accommodation providers in New Zealand; however it is a long way from being standard information provided for disabled travellers.
